What it does.
Continuous zoom
Across the whole range, with the detail level changing as it goes — aggregated bands when zoomed out, individual events when zoomed in. The transition is animated, so the user does not lose their place.
Events and series together
Discrete events on one track, continuous measures on another, sharing an axis.
Multi-track
One track per entity. An investigation of twelve accounts is twelve rows, aligned in time.
Aggregation
By second, minute, hour, day, week, month, quarter or year, with counts, sums, means and custom reducers.
Linked selection
Brush a time range and the graph shows only what was active in it. Select in the graph and the timeline dims everything else.
Playback
Step a cursor through time and watch the linked views update. This is how a sequence of transfers becomes a story.
A time range is a filter on everything.
Explicit rather than magic
A range change is an event. You decide what a time range means for your data — which rows it removes, which nodes it hides, which places it keeps.

Not a time-series database
Aggregation happens over data you have loaded. Millions of raw points belong in a query, not a browser.
No forecasting or anomaly detection
Those belong upstream.
