An application is one deployed product with one user-facing purpose; its staging and development environments are part of it. Redistribution — embedding Tessera Viz in software you sell — is available on either commercial tier; contact us about it. Each tier is a strict superset of the one below, and the core stays Apache-2.0: a licence, not a trial that runs out. Commercial tiers add collaboration, GPU layouts, domain packs and support; they do not add the ability to draw things.

Common questions.
What is actually free?
The whole engine: all 81 chart types, all 26 algorithms, all 20 layouts, all three renderers, every framework binding and every adapter, across the graph, charts, timeline, map and grid. Apache-2.0, commercial use permitted, unlimited developers and unlimited applications, no key, no expiry, no watermark and no node limit.
What counts as one application?
One deployed product with one user-facing purpose. Its staging and development environments are part of it. A second product with a different purpose is a second licence — or move to Organization, which is unlimited.
Do end users need licences?
No. The licence covers the application, so both the developers building it and the people using it are unlimited.
Can it export GraphML?
No — import only. The formats package ships parsers for Mermaid, DOT, GraphML and JSON, and writers for SVG, PNG, JSON, vector and paginated PDF, and PowerPoint. We would rather say that plainly than let you find out after buying.
Is it accessibility certified?
There is a complete, audit-ready WCAG 2.1 AA self-assessment, and third-party certification has deliberately not been done yet. We are not going to claim a certificate we do not hold.
